Supreme Court showdown set over pipeline crossing of Appalachian Trail at Wintergreen
The US Supreme Court agreed on October 4th to hear an appeal of a decision by a Richmond-based federal appeals court last year. That court revoked the permit the U.S. Forest Service issued to allow a partnership led by Dominion Energy to build the proposed natural gas pipeline beneath the Appalachian Trail. This part of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline project would require using land owned by the Wintergreen Property Owners Association. Read more in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
